AGI (Artificial General Intelligence)

What is AGI (Artificial General Intelligence)?

A hypothetical AI system with human-level or above-human-level cognitive abilities across all domains. No AGI currently exists. Most researchers consider it a long-term research goal, not an imminent development.

Example in practice

A strategy director explaining AI investment risk to the board would distinguish AGI from current narrow AI to avoid overstating what today's tools can actually do.
