What we store on your device, why, and how to change your mind. Reading courses requires no account and no optional storage at all.
1. The short version
You can read every lesson on this site without an account and without accepting anything optional. We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to make sign-in and regional settings work. Anything used for analytics or advertising loads only after you consent, and never before.
2. Strictly necessary
Required for the site to function. Not used for advertising or cross-site tracking, and set regardless of consent because the site cannot work without them.

3. Your consent choice is not a cookie
Your answer to the cookie banner is stored in your browser local storage under the key cookie-consent, not in a cookie. It never leaves your device and is never sent to us with a request. Clearing this site’s browser storage resets the banner.
4. Analytics (only with consent)
If you accept analytics, we load Google Analytics 4 to understand which courses and lessons are used, so we know what to improve. We do not send personal data in analytics events — no names, no email addresses, no certificate recipient details.
If you decline, GA4 is not loaded at all, and we do not fall back to any other analytics provider.
5. Advertising (only with consent)
Courses, exams, and certificates are free, and display advertising is how that is funded. If you accept advertising, Google AdSense loads and may set its own cookies to measure and serve ads. Those cookies are controlled by Google, not by us.
Ads never appear on the sign-up, sign-in, password-reset, or active timed exam pages. If you subscribe to Premium, ads are removed everywhere. That subscription buys ad removal only and never gates any course, exam, or certificate.
6. Google Consent Mode
We implement Google Consent Mode v2. For visitors in the EEA and UK, analytics and advertising storage default to denied before any choice is made, and Google scripts are told so from the first request. Your choice updates that signal immediately.
7. Changing your mind
- Use the cookie settings control in the site footer to change your choice at any time.
- Clear this site’s browser storage to reset the banner.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the session cookie will stop you signing in, tracking progress, or downloading certificates — reading lessons will still work.
