What you'll learn
  • Apply skills from across this course in a single realistic professional scenario
  • Produce a concrete, role-relevant deliverable using AI tools
  • Self-assess your output against professional quality criteria

You have covered the full landscape of AI for entrepreneurs: content and marketing, customer service, operations, financial planning, hiring, sales, and strategic growth. Now it is time to bring those skills together in a compressed, high-pressure scenario that mirrors what running a lean startup actually looks like.

This exercise simulates a common founder reality: too many priorities, not enough time, and a business that cannot wait. Your goal is not perfection. It is speed plus quality judgment, knowing when an AI draft is good enough to hand off and when it needs more work before it leaves your desk.

Capstone Exercise

Two-Day Sprint: Content, Investor Update, and Customer Support

Context

You are a solo founder of a B2B SaaS product that helps small law firms manage client intake. You have one part-time virtual assistant who handles scheduling and invoicing. Two key things have collided this week: a warm investor is asking for a quick update before they decide whether to take a follow-up call, and your content calendar has three empty slots that your LinkedIn audience notices when you go quiet. On top of that, your support inbox has 14 unread tickets and the same three questions keep appearing. You have two days to clear all of it.

Your Task

Using Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot, plan and produce first drafts of all four outputs below. For each output, write one sentence immediately below it describing the human review step required before it goes out. Output 1: a LinkedIn post announcing a new feature in your product (200-250 words, professional but direct tone). Output 2: an outline for a blog article targeting the search term 'AI client intake for law firms', including a full introduction paragraph of at least 150 words. Output 3: a 300-word investor update covering traction, a key challenge, and your next milestone. Output 4: three customer support response templates for the most common ticket types you can infer from your product context.

Your notes (optional)

Deliverable

Four AI-assisted drafts (LinkedIn post, blog outline with introduction paragraph, 300-word investor update, three support response templates), each immediately followed by a one-sentence human review note. All four outputs should be producible in a single focused working session of two to three hours.

Quick check

Each of the four drafts is followed by a one-sentence human review note, and the capstone is explicit that Needs a check does not qualify. What separates a real review note from a placeholder?

Select one answer.

Key takeaways
  • AI produces useful first drafts fastest when you give it a structured brief with audience, constraints, and outcome before you ask for content
  • The human review step is not optional polish: it is the professional accountability layer that keeps AI-assisted output from carrying unreviewed factual claims or tone errors into public or investor-facing contexts
  • Batching AI tasks by output type (all writing in one session, all review in another) reduces context-switching and improves the consistency of your prompting
  • A solo founder using AI effectively is not replacing judgment: they are compressing the time between brief and draft so more of their time goes to decisions that only they can make
