In-context learning
What is In-context learning?
The ability of large language models to adapt to new tasks based on examples provided directly in the prompt, without updating the model's parameters. Few-shot and zero-shot prompting both rely on in-context learning.
Example in practice
A procurement officer who pastes three examples of well-formatted supplier evaluation reports before asking the AI to evaluate a fourth supplier is leveraging in-context learning without any model retraining.
